The Chamber stands as a dedicated organization of passionate, innovative leadership, driven to provide professional, personable, positive assistance toward business success in Arlington, WA to long-standing local companies, enthusiastic entrepreneurs, and prospective new members interested in growing in our great region.

The National Civic Bee through the US Chamber of Commerce, is a national nonpartisan competition that encourages young Americans to engage in civics and contribute to their communities. Participating 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students flex their civics knowledge for a chance to win recognition and cash prizes including the national prize of a $100,000 529 plan, and there is no cost to participate. This competition was created to help our students become informed and active citizens in our community.

We are bringing the National Civics Bee to Northwest Washington with a local bee that will be hosted in Arlington, Washington on April 18, 2026 at Byrnes Performing Arts Center at Arlington High School. . The student who wins in the local competition will then go to State and the winner from Washington State will go to the National Competition on an all-expense paid trip.

The process starts with an essay, the student writes about a problem they see in their community.

Cruise on over to the FREE event at the Arlington Boys & Girls Club on March 21st, from 9 AM to 4 PM, for a rockin’ day sponsored by the Stilly Valley Chamber, where you can meet a local contractor or business for that next big (or little) home project. From plants and garden inspiration to home improvement ideas, plus food trucks, kids’ activities, and live demonstrations from businesses like Savvy Garden, it’s a full day of “oohs,” “aahs,” and “now that’s neat!”—all under one roof. Bring the family, bring your project list, and get ready to make your home the bee’s knees!
