Responsibilities and Activities
Our Board members are actively involved in setting strategic directions and ensuring the mission of the Organizations is carried out effectively. They adopt annual budgets that reflect the priorities of the strategic plan, monitor the fiscal health of the Organizations, and establish goals aimed at enhancing the Chamber’s public standing.
Board members also play a crucial role in advocating for local business interests in community and government settings, ensuring that the voice of our business community is heard and respected. They are tasked with the recruitment, orientation, and development of new board members to maintain a governance body that reflects the diversity and dynamism of our community.
Commitment to Excellence
Each member of the Board is expected to attend and participate actively in all board meetings, contribute to the Organizations’ fundraising efforts, and assist in at least two Chamber events per year. Our Board operates under the highest standards of legal, ethical, and fiscal responsibility, evaluating the performance of the Executive Director to ensure accountability and effective leadership within the Chamber.
