The National Civic Bee through the US Chamber of Commerce is a national nonpartisan competition that encourages young Americans to engage in civics and contribute to their communities. Participating 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students flex their civics knowledge for a chance to win recognition and cash prizes including the national prize of a $100,000 529 plan, and there is no cost to participate. This competition was created to help our students become informed and active citizens in our community.

We are bringing the National Civics Bee to Northwest Washington with a local bee that will be hosted in Arlington, Washington on March 22, 2025, at Haller Middle School Commons.  In the prior years, students from our area traveled to competitions hosted by Chambers in Spokane, Tacoma, or Vancouver, WA to compete.  The student who wins in the local competition will then go to State and the winner from Washington State will go to the National Competition on an all-expense paid trip.
