Top-scoring essays from Snohomish, Whatcom, Skagit, and Island counties will progress to the regional competition on April 18th at Byrnes Performing Arts Center in Arlington.
This event includes a civics and government knowledge test, followed by essay discussions. Regional winners will receive $500 and qualify for the State Bee in June.
Resources are available to assist all students in preparing, regardless of their current knowledge or skills. This competition broadens civic awareness and provides educational and financial benefits, emphasizing the importance of active citizenship.
